The
Atlanta Braille Volunteers (ABV)
is a volunteer organization
producing gift, library and books as well as classroom materials
for children across Georgia. The ABV also provides transcriber
training to support the efforts of individuals seeking certification
in braille transcription.
The ABV provides
braille instruction
for transcribers using training
materials approved by the Library of Congress.
Upon completion of training, student braillists submit their work to the
Library of Congress to obtain certification.
More information about the ABV classes can be found
here.
Regular meetings of the Atlanta Braille Volunteers are held each
Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Fulton County Library in Sandy Springs.
